Today, 250,000 members of the Public and Commercial Services Union in the UK
are on strike. The union is protesting changes to wages, pensions, and working conditions. The strike is affecting numerous public services, including museums, libraries, galleries, government departments, tax offices, job centres, and border patrols. According to the union's general secretary, this strike is the first in a series of strikes and other actions that have been planned for the near future. Today's strike coincides with the UK's Budget Day.
