Librarian Fired at St. Paul University
In response to a need to reduce its operating budget, St. Paul University in Ottawa, ON has decided it will likely be necessary to fire some of its tenured faculty members, a decision that breaches the faculty members' collective agreement. The only librarian currently working at the institution's library was fired earlier this month. The librarian had a permanent appointment at the university and was also a member of the Executive of the Professors Association of St. Paul University.
