Faculty and librarians at the University of Illinois-Chicago were joined by students on the picket lines today as they began a
two-day strike. Union members have been without a contract since becoming certified in 2012 and are proposing changes to the salary structure for both tenure and non-tenure track faculty. The union and the university administrations are scheduled to meet on Friday.
