Teacher-Librarian Positions May be Eliminated at Toronto Catholic School Board

The Toronto District Catholic School Board is proposing to eliminate all teacher-librarian positions in its elementary schools, as well as several positions in its secondary schools, in response to budget shortfalls.  The Ontario Library Association issued a letter to the school board, outlining the many reasons why teacher-librarians are vital to elementary schools and urging them to reconsider their plans.
