CBC: Western Quebec English teachers vote to strike

 The CBC reports that English Teachers in western Quebec have voted 95% in favor of a five day strike expected sometime in February.

The announcement comes as year long contract negotiations with the government have stalled.

Teachers have been without a contract since last March, sticking points center around the provinces low pay -- the lowest in Canada -- and workplace conditions as teachers have been putting in more and more time outside of contract hours to plan and grade lessons and assignments.
