Germany's second largest union, Verdi, has called for members at Amazon logistics centers in Germany to strike in the days leading up to Christmas, key shopping days, in order to demand better pay and conditions for workers at the centers, Reuters reports.
Since 2013, Verdi members have struck Amazon multiple times, trying to force the retail giant to recognize collective bargaining agreements that apply to other retail employees in Germany. The country is Amazon's second largest market after the United States.
