Chicago City Employees & Unions File Lawsuit
Four unions representing employees of the city of Chicago, as well as twelve current and former employees, have filed a lawsuit against the city in response to proposed changes to employee pension plans. The proposed changes include increased pension contributions, increased wait time for cost-of-living increases, and the elimination of compounded cost-of-living increases. According to Chicago's mayor, the changes to the pension plan are necessary to prevent the pension fund from running out of money.

Union Files Lawsuit Against City
AFSCME Local 3425, the union representing library workers at Louisville Free Public Library in Kentucky, has filed a lawsuit against Louisville Metro Government. The union alleges that the government has violated their collective agreement by filling full-time positions with part-time and subcontract workers.
