Pembroke's Public Library will house a "Workers' Struggle" poster exhibit throughout the month of June Wicked Local reports.
The posters come from workers' struggles in multiple countries reflecting both the variety and commonality of these struggles. The display is part of a collection of more than 8,600 posters owned by retired union leader and activist Stephen Lewis.
Lewis hopes that the collection will add to a conversation about workers supporting each other internationally in common struggles, pointing out the history that workers' movements faced as corporations moved globally.
The exhibit is supported by a grant from Georgetown Cultural Council (a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council), Painters DC 35, and Roofers Local 3.
