Last week, 140 employees at the Guggenheim Museum voted to unionize, the New York Times reports.
Though organizers were surprised at how much push back they received from management, employees voted to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30.
Local 30 will be representing engineers, maintenance workers, art handlers, cabinetmakers, fabricators, and other full-time, part-time, and temporary employees at the museum.
