According to PR Watch, a bipartisan vote in the Massachusetts Senate saw the overturning of Governor Charlie Baker's veto of a bill that would allow public sector unions to collect reimbursement from non-union workers for cases in which they represent the worker in grievances and arbitration.
The legislation is an important measure to help public sector unions recover some of the funds spent on free riders who stopped paying dues following the 2018 Janus v AFSCME decision but continued to benefit from union protection and contracts.
