According to a post that appeared on Patch.com and was attributed to the Mount Vernon (NY) Public Library, a six year negotiation between the library and its workers represented by Civil Services Employee Associaton (CSEA) ended with a 10-year contract retroactive to 2014.
The contract promise 2% increases for each year from 2014-19, 2.5% for 2020-22, and 2% for 2023. Both CSEA and the Board of Trustees view this contract as a win for library employees and the community they serve.
