The New York Times has reported that the new acting Labor Secretary under Trump, Patrick Pizzella, has a long track record as a movement conservative advocating anti-labor and pro-corporate policies.
Other members of the White House staff who have been pushing hard anti-union positions believe they have found a friend in Pizzella, under the impression that even former Secretary Alex Acosta pushed back too much on their plans.
Pizzella, originally the only Republican appointee to Obama's Federal Labor Relations Authority, has made several inflammatory remarks about unions and labor during his time in the Labor Department and his appointment is an alarming turn of events at a time when organized labor is at its weakest point in generations.
