'No Confidence' in Bloomfield Public Library Board

Leaders of the Communication Workers Association Local 1031 are "fed up" with the library board at Bloomfield Public Library, citing mismanagement of library funds and safety issues in a letter of no confidence.

Ken Haycock wants librarians to work on Christmas

Library management consultant Ken Haycock wants you, library worker, to work on Christmas because that's what Starbucks, Safeway, and movie theatres do.  I assume Mr. Haycock would be all-too-happy to work the circulation desk on all statutory holidays from now on.  And don't even get me started on comparing the labor policies at Starbucks with a public service such as libraries.
