University of Guelph Faculty Association Will Improve Lot of Librarians and Faculty

Improving the lot of contract faculty at the U of G will be a high priority when the University of Guelph Faculty Association starts negotiating a first contract, which could happen very soon, says the association's president.

An Ontario Labour Relations Board hearing is set for Monday June 26 on issues related to the faculty association's desire to be certified as a formal trade union, said David Josephy. Members of the association, which represents about 830 faculty and professional librarians, voted in mid-May in favour of this.

University of Guelph Faculty Association. The UGFA is an association of University of Guelph Faculty and Librarian members. Our most important task is to represent the interests of faculty and librarians with the administration.
