Concord (MA) library workers organize
Library workers in Concord, Massachusetts have notified the city that they have a strong majority of members who would like to organize with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Council 93 (AFSCME). Not surprisingly, city management doesn't think the workers should organize. In a response full of tired, lazy, and stock anti-union claims, the city said that they don't want their treasured relationship with employees to be sullied by the intervention of a "third party" that will ruin their "collegial" atmosphere. Congratulations to the Concord library workers!
