Nova Scotia school librarian update
Some good news out of Nova Scotia regarding the lay-off of school librarians that was mentioned previously on this blog. Doug Stewart, a senior adviser for the Nova Scotia Treasury Board, has stated that the Chignecto-Central regional school board shouldn’t lay off its entire library staff so there is a possibility that at least some of the librarians will be kept in the system. It's a glimmer of hope, but sometimes a glimmer is better than nothing!
