Edmonton Catholic School Board strike ends
Support workers with the Edmonton Catholic School Board, including library workers, have overwhelmingly voted in favour of the latest offer from management. The vote brings an end to the three-week strike and the union is calling the new collective agreement a victory for its workers, although the deal is short-term. Provisions in the agreement include an assessment of workload, commitments to job security, and retroactive pay increases.
