Request to Reopen Collective Agreements at University of Alberta
The administration of the University of Alberta has asked two unions representing the university's employees to reopen their collective agreements in response to the drastic budget cuts it is currently facing. The union representing librarians and faculty, the Association of Academic Staff University of Alberta, has rejected this request, while members of the Non-Academic Staff Association, which represents library and other support staff, have yet to vote on this issue.
