Ruling in Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association

The Supreme Court of the United States ruled in Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association earlier this week, resulting in a 4-4 deadlock that upheld an appellate court decision that the collection of fair-share or agency fees from employees who choose not to join a union is constitutional.
