Kitsap Regional Library Launches Public Campaign for Wage Increase-Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA) -

Kitsap Regional Library's unionized staff has launched a public campaign to bring attention to their wages, which they say are some of the lowest for library staff in the region despite promises during the 2017 levy campaign that pay of library personnel would be aligned with other libraries in the region if the increase passed. The Kitsap Regional Library System Collective Bargaining Team created a Facebook page in August. The team launched a campaign, "Tell the Kitsap Regional Library Board that the KRL Staff Need a Raise!" on an online platform, The Action Network, and calls on public support via social media. The collective bargaining team urged the public to write to the Kitsap Regional Library Board of Trustees.
