Elaine Harger -Labor Librarian-Honored with Herb Biblo Outstanding Leadership Award for Social Justice and Equality

Elaine Harger is the inaugural honoree of the Herb Biblo Outstanding Leadership Award for Social Justice and Equality conferred by the American Library Association Social Responsibilities Round Table. Elaine's work as a librarian and engaged activist has many parts. Here at Union Library Workers we highlight a few of her labor-related activities: * Her career as a librarian began at the Harry Van Arsdale, Jr. School of Labor Studies, a branch of Empire State College in New York City. *"Talking Union" column in Library Journal. *N.
