Southern Labor Archives


 
The "Southern Labor Archives" are located at Georgia State University. 

History of the collection 

  • The collection was established in 1971 and is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and making accessible “the documentary heritage of Southern workers and their unions, as well as that of workers and unions having a historical relationship to the region”.    

  • The Southern Labor Archives houses the most extensive content of labor records in the Southeast. The items include “organizational records, pamphlets, periodicals, photographs, personal papers of labor leaders, oral histories, collective bargaining agreements, constitutions and bylaws, and convention proceedings from 1888 to the present”.
